Following are the highlights in the curriculum as per the Education Policy: –

• Curriculum content is being reduced to enhance essential learning and critical thinking based on inquiry, discovery, discussion, and analysis.
• Experiential learning has been made an integral part of teaching pedagogy which includes hands-on learning based on art, sports, and ICT integrated activities.
• The art-integrated approach will strengthen the linkages between education and culture. Sports integrated activities will ingrain the fitness mindset in learners, and ICT integration is a step towards digital collaboration and global citizenship.
• Use and integration of technology to improve multiple aspects of teaching-learning processes as the significant tool for achieving high end goals will be supported and adopted at regular intervals.
• Story-telling-based pedagogy is the standard pedagogy within each subject to bring about the clarity of the concepts.
• Decoding “a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity” through education comprises of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. It aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” in order to make our students the responsible global citizens.

Curriculum followed in Middle Wing

The Middle Years Programme builds on the structured, student-centered foundation laid in the Primary Years Programme in Primary School. Its framework encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real World.
All the subjects are criterion-related and have strong inter-disciplinary elements. This curriculum is approached through inquiry, developing what the students know into an exciting journey of knowing more, thus stimulating a student’s latent curiosity and honing the skills of research, expression, presentation and application. Students learn to share experiences and work in teams.
The main aim at this level is to provide in depth knowledge of the concepts. An extensive use of technology supplements classroom teaching thereby making it interactive and thus enhancing comprehension. Homework given to students is a stimulating revision exercise generally in the form of worksheets. A lot of stress is laid at this stage on spoken English with emphasis on good pronunciation and diction coupled with excellent reading and writing skills. Educational trips and excursions are organized on a regular basis to make learning fun and meaningful. The curriculum at middle school aims to allow students to think intensively and critically.
Coding is a key to success in the upcoming time; hence the school has sown the seed of the same. Teaching them from young on how to create technology-based solutions through coding, not only encourages them to gain knowledge in that sector but also ensures that they become responsible users of technology. Math and Science is important so that as we grow, we would choose the right career path, take a wise decision with enough exposure in place. Coding today has become equally inevitable and its high time students start getting their exposure from young age.”
