As the festive season approaches, we would like to draw your attention to a matter of great concern – the rising levels of pollution in our city. With the onset of winters, the air quality deteriorates significantly due to the extreme burning of crackers during Diwali and other pollutant factors such as vehicle emissions.
It is imperative for all of us to acknowledge the impact of our actions on the environment and take responsibility for the well-being of our community. While Diwali is a time of joy and celebration, it is also a time when our environment suffers greatly. The excessive use of firecrackers releases harmful chemicals and particulate matter into the air, contributing to air pollution and its adverse effects on health.
We urge you to celebrate this Diwali responsibly by opting for eco-friendly alternatives and minimizing the use of firecrackers. Additionally, it is essential to be mindful of other pollutant sources, such as vehicles, and take measures to reduce emissions.
Furthermore, our responsibility does not end with Diwali. It is crucial to continue our efforts beyond the festive season. Encouraging the use of public transport, carpooling, and adopting sustainable practices can make a significant difference in curbing pollution levels.
